MAN, 75, ARRESTED IN CONNECTION WITH DOG WALKER DEATH

A 75-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the death of a Perthshire dog walker three months ago.

The body of retired groundsman Brian Low, 65, was found in Aberfeldy at about 09:00 on 17 February.

His death was initially thought to be "medical-related" but an examination later found he had actually been shot.

The man is currently being questioned by detectives from the Major Investigation Team.

Mr Low worked at the nearby Edradynate Estate for more than 20 years until his retirement in February last year.

He lived in Aberfeldy with his partner and died three days before his 66th birthday.

His death certificate, seen by BBC Scotland News, confirmed he died of a shotgun wound to the neck and chest.

More than 800 people were interviewed in the police investigation into Mr Low's death, with officers reviewing 2,400 hours of CCTV footage from 56 cameras.
